chapters, such as: The Arc, Easter Seals, or March of Dimes.
- Look for a Head Start
program in your area.
- Look for preschools that
offer speech and therapy programs.
- Contact your local
university, many universities have education programs.
- Contact your local Dept. of
Children's Welfare, as they maintain listings of family resources.
Tips:
- Although infants are
screened at birth, many delays may not be immediately apparent.
